Graves County Eagles defeat Fulton City at home

The Eagles won last night 76-32 against Fulton city.

Freshman Lukas Pigg was the lead scorer with whopping 17 points.

“My mentality was to play good defense and distribute the ball to my teammates,” Pigg said.

“We have got a group of guys that are really working hard and competing every day,” said Head Coach Josh Frick. “I believe that as the season progresses we will see a lot of growth from this team.”

Coach Frick left the game with an air of thankfulness, and not just for the win: “my favorite moment is just being able to have a season and spending time with the players and coaches. One thing that this pandemic has taught me is to be more appreciative of the opportunity that are given to us. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have a season and compete with this team.”

Pigg has his eye on Districts and hopes to “make a run at Regionals.”

This Friday the Eagles will play away at Lyon County.
