On January 11th the GCHS Forensics Team traveled to Bowling Green to compete in the BGHS Vette City Classic.
Seven students broke finals in 10 categories, meaning that they were one of the top seven performers in their respective events.
Aidan Walker placed 2nd in Storytelling, while Michael Black placed 3rd in Impromptu Speaking, 5th in Original Oratory, and 5th in Poetry.
Carrie Cavitt placed 4th in Storytelling followed by Olivia Gregory in 6th place.
Nick Lashbrook placed 4th in Humorous Interpretation and 7th in Extemporaneous Speaking.
Kendall Tubbs placed 6th place in Extemporaneous Speaking while Mina Cakilkaya placed 7th in Humorous Interpretation.
Additionally, team members Landon Ray and John Roberts competed at the tournament this weekend.
