Seniors, the big day is getting closer and closer! Here in about 5 months we’ll be walking in our cap and gown, getting our diploma. 5 months may seem like a long time, but it’ll be here before you know it. Meaning, it’s time to do what everybody has been avoiding- fill out paperwork. Not just any paperwork though, paperwork that will help shape your life after high school.

Every senior needs to fill out FAFSA to see if they are eligible for financial aid for college. You will need to do it with your parents, because their income shows if you’re eligible or not. If you are eligible, it will help you out tremendously.  Before you do that, you need to apply for admissions and meet their deadlines.

When you think about applying for a certain college, it’s always helpful to check their graduation rates. You should know how many people graduate successfully before committing your money and focus to a certain college. This shows the percentage who finish their degree and graduate.

This may seem like a lot of stressful work, but once you complete these tasks, you’ll be grateful and ready to start a new chapter of your life.
