Graves County Cross Country Varsity boys and girls hosted a home meet on the 21st of September.

The Varsity boys won 1st place, and Ethan McClain was the tiebreaker that led varsity boys to their victory. The team was filled with joy and celebrated McClain for his place in the race.

“I put in all my effort and got what I wanted for the team,” McClain stated. “I’m just glad the boys showed out as well.”

Head coach, Dara Miller, was extremely proud of both teams. She and Kayla Wilson, assistant coach, did round-offs at the end of the race to show how happy they were with the teams doing really well at the home meet.

The girls’ varsity team did not place but performed well at the meet. “It wasn’t our best race, but we all did what we could,” GCHS junior Stella Mapes commented.

The girls plan to make a comeback at Marshall on the 28th of September.
