On September 23rd, our GCHS JV Soccer Girls played an away game at Murray, against Murray, at 5:30pm. This game resulted in a marvelous victory.

Assistant Coach, Shannon Andrews, said before the game started that, “I think the game will be a solid victory. We have had a few recent injuries but our squad is deep. They have worked and prepared for this game, and they are familiar with this team because we just played them not too long ago.”

During the game, Campbelle Drury had two  goals. Hannah Beth Elliot and Katie Adams anchored our back line. Allie Szurgot has stepped up with critical saves on the line to secure their victory.

Reese Gream, stated that “the game was very slow at the start, but by the end it started to speed up. At our next game we really need to work on doing better at the beginning of the game instead of the end.”

The final score was 2-1. Our Eagles were very proud about this win, and they will continue to practice so they will improve.

After the game, Andrews stated, “The girls celebrated their victory by having a post team high five and a team picture.”

Congrats to our JV Soccer Girls.
