“Supermarket” takes place in present day Oregon. The main character being Flynn. Flynn is a struggling, aspiring writer who also just lost his girl friend. He took this as a vow to change his life by finally getting a job at the supermarket. Logic, the author, uses his hard childhood experiences to inspire is writings with music and through out the book. His point is to spread the message of peace, love, and positivity.

Logic also takes a lot of inspiration from Quentin Tarantino, and you can see it throughout the story, so yes, there will be gory scenes. Another reader even noted, “The addicting plot is saturated with daydreams, nuanced characters, stimulating imagery, fourth–wall breaks and Logic’s internal dialogue that he brings to life through character conversations.” If you love imagery, and a book that makes you feel like you’re a part of the story, this book is definitely for you.

Overall, the interesting analogies and fourth wall breaks through the peculiar character Flynn is what captivated me through out the story. The interesting dialogue and plot kept me wondering what would happen next. Anyone should read if they love an interesting dialogue, characters, and plot.
