Dribble, Shoot, Score: Ryan Mathis is GC’s All-Time Scoring Leader

Graves County, number 11, Ryan Mathis is now known as Graves County High School basketball Eagles all-time scoring leader. On Saturday, Jan. 26, this senior surpassed previous record-holder, Peyton Puckett, who scored 1,616 points. Mathis now has 1,666 points since the last basketball game against Ballard.

Mathis said, “I was so shocked when I scored enough points to get a new record.”

He went on to express that playing basketball was so much fun, and he was glad he got a new record his senior year.

Not only does this point guard have an impressive point score, but he is ranked number 36 in Kentucky. Mathis averages 11.8 points per game, 3.28 assists, 2.3 assists per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, 4.63 rebounds, 1 steal per game, and has played a total of 141 games.
