Our GCHS bowling team has had tournaments all over the western Kentucky and Tennessee. This year their season consisted of a total of 14 tournaments.

A quick review of bowling for those who are a little rusty or unfamiliar:

A game of bowling consists of ten frames. In games with more than one bowler, as is common, every bowler will take their frame in order before the next frame begins. This allows for a potential of 12 strikes in a single game, and a maximum score of 300 points, known as a perfect game.

I recently asked Ethan Blackshear, a GCHS Bowling Team Member, what he most enjoys about the sport:”Scoring high is the best part,” he said. “It is so funny when we have Jake Puckett do the “roar” when we play really good in our tournaments.”
