Harry Styles

Harry+Styles

In August 2017, I traveled to Nashville to see Harry Styles, former One Direction member, perform on his first tour. Since the band took a hiatus, Styles took it upon himself to make music as a solo artist, and I couldn’t have been more excited to see what he had in store to perform with live in concert.

At the venue, I was immediately greeted with merchandise for sale and some of Harry’s favorite songs played over the loudspeaker. After shopping around and exploring the venue, I decided to go find my seat and prepare myself for the best concert I had ever been to.

The opening act was a great way to start off the night. The band Muna sang original songs about spreading love and positivity, and the crowd was living for it.

When Harry made his grand appearance on the stage, everyone went wild. Harry made it known to every person in the room that he was grateful for the love and support, and preached about positivity in between every song to correlate with the slogan on all of his merchandise, “Treat people with kindness.” He prompted the crowd to interact with each other and make new friends, and I was so comfortable, that I did exactly that.

Just like I had hoped for, he sounded exactly the same as he did on his soundtracks. After he waved at me during the song “Angel,” the rest of the night was a blur because tears of happiness were rolling down my face.

All in all, I would highly recommend any former die-hard One Direction fan or anybody looking for an at-home concert experience to go see Harry Styles. He was very involved with the crowd, and the venue was filled with nothing but love. I left so pleased that I bought more tickets to see him in the following months, and I regret nothing.
