For the last few weeks the GCHS art class has been hard at work making a big art project come to life. The Graves County Middle School students and faculty requested for a mural to be painted on the wall of the science hallway. The art class decided that an eagle would best fit the design for the mural because it not only symbolizes the schools mascot but also gives the middle school students inspiration.

Students chose a quote from American author Og Mandino: “Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.” And, the middle school found it as a perfect fit.

When asked about the art murals impact on the middle school students, student Brittany Harrison responded, “I think that as the students walk down that hall everyday and see that quote, it will give them the determination the need to strive for what they want to do when they get older.”
