This week is big for the Lady Eagles Volleyball team. The Regional Tournament begins and the claws come out. This season has turned into one for the books for the Lady Eagles.

With a new coach, a new culture has erupted throughout the team.

This years team has become mentally stronger and more confident with their game. This has lead to their outstanding record of 29-8

In the first round of the Regional Tournament, Graves County played Carlisle County Tuesday night and had no problem demolishing Carlisle’s confidence immediately.

With scores of 25-5, 25-11, and 25-6 the Lady Eagles knocked the comets right out of the sky.

Freshman Audrey Dowdy commented on Tuesday’s game:¨We came out really strong and ready to play, we have high hopes for the region tournament and plan on going all the way.¨

Dowdy continues,¨But Wednesday will hold new challenges when we play CFS; they don’t roll over as easy, and they are also playing with many different purposes to keep them fired up.¨

CFSs Kenzie Murdock has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is currently in St. Judes hospital. But in light of these events, this has given the CFS Lady Eagles even more of a reason to come together. CFSs Abigale Cima comments ¨we are fighting for more than just a win now.¨
