Sarah’s Series: Top 5 Book Series

Sarahs Series: Top 5 Book Series

I may be a fan of books, but I always hate when they end without continuing; therefore, series are my favorite type of books. I always have that thread of hope that they will never end, even though they always do. Here are my top five series:

1. Myra Dyra by Michelle Hodikn. Chances are you haven’t heard of it. I stumbled on the first one thinking, maybe it will be good; it turned out to be one of the most suspenseful stories I’ve ever read. The next day I was at the store buying the rest of the series. The book is more of a diary telling her story, the truth or what she knows to be truth. It’s mystery, suspense, science fiction, with a dash of realism all in one book–everything I love.

2. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. I wasn’t one of those people who saw the movie in middle or high school, then decide to read the books and become a fan. I grew up on Harry Potter books before I knew the movies even existed. Thanks to my mom my nine year self was blown away that there was a movie to the books. Because these books were my bed time stories, it is more than likely the reason I will always be a lifetime fan.

3. The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd. Having a 4 1/2 out of 5 on Barnes and Noble, this book is really out there. It has a little bit of everything in it, which of course are my favorite kind of books. One moment you will be gasping, another awing, and then crying out of the blue. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this book to see other point of views on it. The same thing gets repeated, horror and violent. It gets quite strange and violent, so it is not recommended to anyone who hates horror and under the age of 14. But if you’re like me, then this book is alluring and captivating.

4. Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers. This Series is more of a older one first published in 2012 but is still one of the best in my opinion. All three books are from different perspectives of three different girls. Which to most people doesn’t seem appealing, but it really helps the story line and helps to have more information to better understand the books as a whole. While it may be another not suitable for children kind of books, it is a gripping and thrilling series even with the character changes.

5. The Selection/The One by Kiera Cass. Three tell of a girl being selected as a princess to a prince, with three more concerning their daughter who wants nothing to do with the selection and breaks tradition to follow her own dreams. It’s a stray from my usual favorites, but the romance and adventure is to hard to resist. I highly recommend this book to all ages.
