The Graves County Boys basketball team competed in the regional tournament last week, coming into the tournament they were a predicted two-seed. The first-seed prediction was given to McCracken County.

In the first round of the tournament Graves County blew past Hickman County in a 88-48 win. Moving on to the Semi-Finals game, Graves County beat the favored Marshall County Marshal’s, 53-48. The Eagles advanced to the championship game against McCracken County.

After a heartfelt game and run, the Eagles fell to the Mustangs, 42-37. When asked about the season as a whole, Trevor Grant stated, “It was a good season, we should have finished it with a trip to Rupp but I’m proud of how we did. I’ll miss the game and this team. They’ll be back next year.” Graves County went 23-7 on the season, and came home with a runner-up trophy from the regional tournament.

The all-tournament team included juniors Jordyn Naranjo and Ryan Mathis, and seniors Trevor Grant and Brenden Young.
