Junior Jacob Savage was recently injured at the Charleston game in the Superman Classics. He will most likely be out for the rest of the season due to a broken wrist, but this  hasn’t discouraged his passion for the sport nor his support for his team.

“We’ve had a good season. We’ve had a lot of adversity but the team has really stepped up and fought through it and pulled out,” Savage said of his team in a recent interview.

“We’ve had a lot better chemistry this year,” Savage continued. “We’ve all kind of been playing with each other for a long time.”

With the end of the basketball season drawing near, we asked Savage about the likelihood of seeing GC back in Rupp Arena.

“It’ll be a good game. I think we just need to focus on regionals first, and focus on one game at a time. I think we’ve got some chances.”

As for immediate goals for himself, he plans on ” getting back in the gym and just trying to do everything I can to make my team better.”
