Starting 2016-2017 school year, Graves County High School decided to try a new reward system.

Service, Trust, Integrity, Leadership, and Endurance are qualities of a true GC Eagle, and thus, STILE cards were born.

STILE cards are passed out by teachers and staff to students when they recognize positive behavior.

According to Principal Matthew Madding, “We tracked the number of discipline referrals, and since STILE cards were implemented, we’ve seen a drop from previous years. This was just a test to see how successful the cards would be, and it’s definitely something we will use in the future to promote positivity.”

When students receive the card, they turn them into a designated box in the commons. Every Friday afternoon, a student is drawn for each grade level for various prizes. Each month, an assembly takes place to promote positive behavior and recognize the STILE card receivers.
