Dual Credit Courses at Graves County High School

Wouldn’t it be great to get almost two years of college out of the way, without leaving your home and still attending High School classes? West Kentucky Community College and Murray State University might just have the dream program for you! Dual Credit is a way to “Go 2 College in High School”, as the Dual Credit logo reads, but there is a little more to it. If you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity:

The first step would be to talk to a guidance counselor to get more details.

If you still feel the program is for you, you have to be eligible. At Graves County High School you must make an 18 in English, 22 in Reading, and 22 in Math on the ACT to apply for Dual Credit (If you find that you can’t get the score, you can take the COMPASS test at WKCTC and take the classes outside of school, but the classes would be full price.)

Next you should look at either WKCTC’s or Murray State’s website to see the classes available and start getting an idea on what you may take. Academy Directors will come to Graves County High School to meet with you and help advise you on what to take.

Dual Credit has helped many students get a head start on college. Could you be next?
