On October 12th, RyanBeth Goodman and Krystina Kelly were selected for the Girl’s All-Region team. Soccer Regionals took place at Marshall County High School. During the Finals, two GC players were announced as being a part of this team. It’s a very prestigious honor and only five girls are chosen.
“It means a lot to me because it is a representation of how the other coaches are noticing the way I play and as a freshman I had the opportunity to watch players such as Ellie Carter and Rachael Mathis.” says Krystina Kelly.
The Lady Eagles went 7-6 this season ultimately losing to Marshal County in the regional Tournament. One of their highlighted games include beating Mayfield with the score being 7-0.
When asked about her favorite part of the season Kelly states,” “I like how we play as a team and we are more than just teammates we can hang out on and off the field.”
Kelly started playing soccer when she was little and has loved it ever since. This has been her fourth year with the Lady Eagles.
It’s always a great day to be an Eagle!
