On September 20, Ag Safety Day took place to inform Graves County Middle and High School students on safety issues and measures that can be taken to prevent various injuries.

Ms.Lyell, Ag teacher at GCHS says, “It doesn’t matter your background, safety is relevant to all of us, especially in the county that we live in.”

This event is put on by the AG department every four years and includes many information booths and a mock crash scenario during the end of the day assembly. Some booths featured were livestock, road, food, ATV, agriculture technology safety, and many more.

When asked what the most influential station at Ag day was, Cadence Kimbler, GCHS senior said the chemical station because she didn’t realize how dangerous common chemicals can be.

The next AG Safety Day will take place in fall of 2026.
